Matthew Matt James is a North Carolina native born on 5 December 1991. The son of Manny James and Patty James of mixed race. The father of Manny James is Nigerian while his mother is caucasian American. His father is Nigerian, and his mother is a caucasian American. He graduated from Sanderson High School in 2010, then went on to Wake Forest University, where the Bachelor's Degree was awarded to him in Economics in 2015. James was first noticed when he was a Reality star on The Bachelorette. James was chosen in the year 2020 to be the bachelor for season 25 of The Bachelor, becoming the first African American lead. The season premiered in on the 20th of January in. James was the best choice for the role, because he's well-rounded, tall and has good humor. Rachael Krukconnell became his love interest at the close of the season. He teamed up with famous dancer Arnold to compete in season 30 of Dancing with the Stars.
